Volunteers provide the essential heart and hands of our programs.
Habitat relies on the generous support of volunteers to ensure the success of all our programs. We invite anyone committed to the vision that all people should have access to decent, affordable housing, and safe, healthy communities to support our work and partner with us. HFHSLOCO maintains an open door policy welcoming all applicants, donors, and volunteers from all backgrounds and affiliations. No experience is necessary to volunteer; we welcome volunteers of all skill levels to join us in building and repairing homes. All volunteers must be 18 years or older.
Volunteer to help build homes, communities and hope in San Luis Obispo County today!
Volunteering on a job site as an individual is a rewarding way to serve our community while learning construction skills and building meaningful relationships. Under the supervision of a qualified crew leader, our construction volunteers work alongside our partner families in our Homeownership & Building and Home Preservation programs.
Construction volunteers are welcome to serve at any time during the construction process, and may perform a variety of construction jobs during their shift. Safety training, jobsite tools, and materials are provided, just wear work-site appropriate attire and bring your enthusiasm!
Group construction volunteers are welcome; read on to learn more

ReStore Retail Volunteers
