No experience is necessary, and we welcome volunteers of all skill levels to join us in building and repairing homes. All volunteers must be 18 years or older.

Construction Managers & Crew Leaders:

Habitat for SLO County builds its new homes, rehabilitates homes, and engages in its Home Preservation Program primarily with volunteer labor. To be successful in our work, it is important that our volunteers are trained and supervised by Construction Managers and Crew Leaders who have construction and building experience.

We are seeking volunteers who are willing to serve as a Construction Manager or Crew Leader with our construction efforts. Construction Managers must be licensed contractors, and our Crew Leaders must have experience in construction and repair of homes. Habitat Construction Managers and Crew Leaders will be asked to train, lead, and interact with volunteers in their work on construction sites.

If you are interested in volunteering as an HFHSLOCO Construction Manager or Crew Leader, please contact our volunteer coordinator at (805) 782-0687 or by email at volunteer@hfhsloco.org. Our success is built on the good will and support of our volunteers, and we are deeply grateful for their continued commitment to providing affordable housing in San Luis Obispo County!

ReStore Volunteers

Habitat for Humanity for San Luis Obispo County’s ReStores are retail stores that sell construction and home improvement items to the public. Individuals and businesses donate new and used materials and other items that are then resold in our ReStores.

ReStores keep items out of the landfill, provide an affordable source of materials to the community, and financially support the work of Habitat for Humanity in our county. All proceeds are used to support Habitat’s mission of building strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter in San Luis Obispo County.
